Anup is from Bangalore, the “Silicon Valley” of India. Growing up around tech shaped his worldview and he decided to study Electronics Engineering (BTech – PES University, Bangalore). After questioning who and how people use the systems that he builds, he developed an interest in Human-Computer Interaction (MS – University of Maryland, College Park).
Anup’s research interests are wide but primarily revolve around asking questions about technology overuse. He believes in a future where humans seamlessly coexist with endlessly available media and information instead of being engulfed by it.
