Jeffrey has been a professional developer since 1992 and is currently an entrepreneur and teacher. Jeffrey has taught courses in web development, Python programming, and applied software engineering. In industry, he has led software teams since 1996, working across a variety of domains: medical point-of-care, in-store retail technologies, marketing, online commerce, and most recently, apps for clinical researchers at academic institutions. Jeffrey has had a longtime interest in computer language design and has worked in over 15 programming languages. Primarily a Rubyist since 2006, Jeffrey co-wrote the book “Rails for .NET Developers,” published by the Pragmatic Bookshelf in 2008, and has since contributed articles for PragPub magazine. He is still active in entrepreneurial pursuits and speaks at technical conferences throughout the year.
